Flora Blathwayt is the Founder of Washed Up Cards - a company she started in Lockdown using microplastics which she found on beach cleans, often in her home patch around the Thames. She uses these tiny pieces to make cards which are quirky and funny, yet highlight the increasingly serious problem of plastic pollution.
In this episode, Flora talks about what inspired her to start Washed Up Cards and her passion for beach cleaning as well the benefits of being part of a wider community, particularly in a time of social distancing. Her story is the perfect illustration of how taking small steps on a personal journey, can take on a wider purpose and meaning and lead to further opportunities and adventures along the way.
